12, 000 homeowners nationwide have a good reason to smile this month.

For the first time, a 10 percent Ground Rent discount is being introduced for over the next 2 months.

The discount which is applicable from 1st March through to 30th April is for Ground Rent for the first half of this year.

Housing Authority chief executive officer Alipate Naiorosui said, “We understand that our homeowners have many financial commitments with the school year having started up and Cyclone Evan in December last year. This is an opportunity for our Ground Rent customers to receive a discount for paying their accounts early within the next 2 months”.

Housing Authority is offering a discount of 10 percent for the month of March and 7 percent for April.

“Apart from the discounts being offered for the ground rent for the first half of this year, Housing Authority will also write off interest charges on ground rent arrears if the whole amount is paid in full”, Mr Naiorosui added.

Housing Authority is encouraging all its customers to make use of the attractive discounts and write off of interest as incentive to settle their outstanding ground rent accounts and arrears by 30th April, 2013.
