In a bid to encourage a healthy workforce, Zumba the aerobic and dance exercise program has been introduced at Housing Authority.

Housing Authority Sports and Social President Maciu Katomotu said, “The workout program is designed to relieve work related stress while at the same time improving our staff members mobility”.

The 45 minute workout program is conducted every Wednesday afternoon as part of the organisations “Walk for Life” program.

Chief Executive Officer Alipate Naiorosui said, “The program is an initiative of our Sports & Social Committee that is focused on improving the overall wellbeing of our staff members and goes a long way in relieving work related pressures”.

Zumba Takes Off at HA

The Zumba classes are currently run for both the Lautoka and Nasinu office and as even attracted participants from neighbouring organisations to join the weekly fitness session.

Katomotu added, “At our Head office, we have many staff members who come out to be part of the Zumba fitness program as well as staff members of surrounding organisations”.
