Construction of 27 – one bedroom units commenced on 17th September 2005 for a six months contract and should complete in March 2006. Work is progressing to schedule; as at December 23, the work is about 60% complete.
Contract was issued out to Vitilevu Construction and the director of the company Mr Alim Begg said that they are taking advantage of the favorable weather conditions to push the work forward. He is grateful to PRB for offering the contract to him and he will try his best to fulfill the requirements of the contract and deliver the completed buildings on time.
Public Rental Board in April this year (2005) approved the framework for the implementation of Performance Management System. Management has been working with consultants Price WaterHouse Coopers for the development of the framework and with consultation with the Fiji Bank & Finance Sector Employees Union for agreement on pertinent issues relating to the framework.
